Beautiful
Stamford, Connecticut was the setting for the very first
conference from CULTinfo.
At the conference they announced their new name, The Leo J. Ryan
Foundation.
At
the time, Bob and Stacy were on the Board of FACTnet
which was a co-sponsor of this conference.

Minton gave an address on the first evening which was well
received by just about everybody except the handful of
Scientologists who came to the affair from Washington, D.C.
There
was an all out attempt by Scientology to disuade CULTinfo from
having Bob speak at this affair but they held strong and gave
Bob a warm welcome.
