MR. X:
I don’t believe that I know
any Scientologists, but I know what I read about
Scientologists.
MR. TYSON:
Could you tell me what you
read?
MR. X:
I put it in the same category
as a cult.
MR. TYSON:
Regardless of that, I
represent the State of Florida as you know. I don’t
represent the Scientologists, I don’t represent Mr.
Minton. Mr. de Vlaming does. I represent the State of
Florida, and we are here to prosecute for violation of
the law. If you find that a law was violated can you
convict, or will your feelings interfere with that?
Scientologist I feel that my feeling may interfere with
that.
MR. TYSON:
Fair enough. Thank you.
Judge, may I have a moment?
(Brief pause)
MR. TYSON:
Mr. X, what do you think
about Scientology, do you know anything about it?
MR. X:
I don’t know that much about,
but what I have read about it and everything, I kind of
think it is a cult myself.
