don’t have a right to get right up in their noses to do it.
And that’s what your injunction does; it brings just a
touch of civility to the situation.
 
The Supreme Court today in a 6/3 opinion says a
statute that provides that is constitutional, and that was
a criminal statute. So I think it logically follows that
your injunction, narrowly tailored and focused as it is,
passes constitutional muster, and it makes civil sense,
Your Honor.
 
It makes no sense to lift this thing and let
these parties go back to where they were and we’ll just
have to start all over again.
 
And remember this, it was the Clearwater Police
Department who came down here and said we’re having trouble
trying to enforce this thing, and it was based upon some of
the testimony of those officers that this injunction was
refined and made workable. The Clearwater Police
Department and the City of Clearwater are happy with it.
 
So I urge you, Your Honor -- and I will sit
down now
-- to extend this injunction out 180 days so that
it will continue to serve as the rules of engagement
between these two warring factions.
