And it is so black-letter law that it appears
in FLA. JUR. Second Injunctions, Section 100. Let me share
this with you.
 
“The continuance, modification or dissolution
of an injunction is, as is clear from other sections of
this article, always a matter resting in the discretion of
the court. Only where an abuse of this judicial discretion
is clearly made to appear is it the duty of an appellate
court to interfere with that.”
 
This is a discretionary call to continue an
injunction. And what we have shown you in this hearing
today, by the documentary evidence and the testimonial
evidence, not only of our own witness, but of Mr. Minton,
is that a state of continued hostility exists between these
two factions.
 
And then Mr. Minton said it’s not going to go
away until the Church of Scientology reforms itself in
accordance with his prescription, so we’ve got the
continuation of the very same circumstances that led you to
enter this injunction in the first instance, and I would
not be lulled into thinking that we’re asking you to modify
this because we are not.
 
And, Your Honor, your order doesn’t say to the
Lisa McPherson folks and Mr. Minton that you can’t picket
and you can’t protest and you can’t speak. All it says is
