MR. MERRETT:
Well, I say that there is an
exception -- I can’t cite to the number right off the top
of my head
-- but an exception in the evidence code for
documents which bear the mark of a commercial enterprise or
items which bear the mark of a commercial enterprise.
This exhibit is marked Hubbard Communications
Office, St. Hill Manor, East Grinstead, Sussex.
Additionally, it has been identified by Mr. Minton as being
a published work of L. Ron Hubbard.

THE COURT: I’m going to allow it in.

MR.
MERRETT: May I approach, Your Honor.
THE
COURT:
Yeah, you may.
MR.
MERRETT: Thank you.
THE
COURT:
Do you join in this, Mr. Howie?
MR.
HOWIE:
In the exhibit, yes, sir.
THE
COURT:
I will call it Defendants’ Exhibit Number 1.  All right.
What else, sir?
MR. MERRETT: I have no further evidence to present to the Court, Your Honor.

THE COURT: Okay. Mr. Pope, rebuttal?

MR. POPE:
Your Honor, I have no rebuttal
evidence to present. It looks to me like we can probably
move into final argument.

THE COURT:
Are you ready to proceed?
MR. POPE:
I’m ready.
